For those loyal friends and fans who are still coming on here to check for updates. After the last news of Bills slow recovery he had a bit of a relapse .. this lasted over Christmas and for most of January. At this time he appears to have turned the corner again and this time, fingers crossed, lets just hope he gets all the way back to the Bill we are waiting to see.
02 NOV 2007
As most of you know Bill is still in hospital and although there are some signs of improvement it is still an ongoing and very slow process. He is still unhappy with the idea of seeing people so all we can do is keep sending out good vibes for him.
29th JULY 2007
Bill was taken into hospital last Tuesday and is set to remain there until he is feeling better. It is a very nice new psychiatric unit and he is getting the best of attention, medication and therapy. At the moment he is refusing to have any visitors apart from his parents but it is early days yet. All we can do is keep him in our thoughts and/or prayers depending on our religious leanings and hope to see him back sooner rather than later.
6th JULY 2007
Another short update on Bills condition. Unfortunately there appears to be very little change in his condition. The local Community Mental Health team are visiting him at least once, and often twice, a day with medication and some therapy. It looks as though it is going to be a very long slow hall at the moment. Please keep him in your thoughts and with luck he will recover sooner rather than later
6th JUNE 2007
I am sorry to say I have just taken all the gigs for the immediate future out of the gig guide. As soon as I am able to put some definate gigs back on there I will. It cant come soon enough for all of us I am sure
The jam at the Pigeons goes on as usual with Tim, Eddie and Tony et al doing sterling work every Sunday
30th MAY 2007
Much as we were hoping it would not come to this Monica at Boogaloo Promotions has had to replace Bill and the Enforcers on the Littlecote House weekend commencing 30th June. I discussed this with her at some length and it was agreed that her final mail shot should actually show the bands that were definately going to appear. Unfortunately Bills appearance couldnt be guaranteed. It was all done on a very amicable basis and hopefully she will find a replacement weekend for Bill and the band later in the year when he has recovered fully
22nd MAY 2007
It has now been confirmed to me that all the Inmates dates that are listed on their website have now been cancelled. It is to be hoped that most of them will be re-scheduled later in the year when Bill has recovered fully. Sooner the better!! All we can do at the moment is send out good thoughts for him.
14th MAY 2007
I am sorry there has been no news on here for a while and no update of the gig list. To be honest Bill is still very unwell and we having to cancel gigs as we go along and just keep our fingers crossed that he will turn a corner soon. Some of the gigs are going ahead with the Enforcers working without Bill and every time this has happened everyone has agreed that they have had a really enjoyable night... I am going to update the gig list now and can only suggest contacting the venues before leaving home to check the situation
26th APRIL 2007
Unfortunately for Bill and of course all of us there is still no good news on the state of his health. I have not updated the gig list at this stage because at present there is a good chance of gigs being cancelled. I will hope to be able to post better news soon
21st MARCH 2007
I am afraid there is very little good news at present a bout the state of Bills health. His back is still very painful, in fact he finds it worse now than it was when he did it so it may be that an x-ray is in order. The combination of the injury and having to pull out of so many gigs has all combined to pull him down mentally. All we can all do at present is hope. In the meantime the Enforcers will be honouring gigs whenever licensees agree. Watch this space for updates
13th MARCH 2007
Sad news I am afraid. About three weeks ago whilst preparing for the soundcheck at Cranleigh Bill slipped on a step from the stage which was dangerously insecure and fell hurting his back very badly. As a direct result of this he has found himself unable to do some gigs scheduled for the Enforcers (the fort however has been heroically held by Tim Hill as front man and the band in general)
Now with real sadness he has had to cancel the Inmates gigs in Sweden. He has been advised that the pain and inherant problems that the travelling might cause to his already damaged back makes it advisable to cancel the mini tour.
This has now been done and he has asked me to extend his apologies to Mikael and an other Swedish fans who read this site.. the last thing he would ever wish to do would be to let Inmates fans down in any way. He hopes he can make it up to you in the future.
A note for Mikael and our other overseas friends. If you check the link to the inmates-rock site you will see the Inmates 30th anniversary year carries on with three gigs in Sweden in March. Two of these are newly confirmed.
